About the Event
This Living Case Study Tour will explore the Olmsted Medical Center’s newest addition to its southeast regional medical service at the Northwest Clinic in Rochester. This project is seeking LEED Certification. With the growth of Rochester into its northwest quadrant, Olmsted Medical Center sought to have a strong presence to serve its patients and new community members in a building that provides thoughtful use of materials and resources, strong benefits to energy efficiency and the ability to grow into the future.
Key features that will be discussed in the presentation/tour include:
- Purposeful project management practices for developing LEED projects
- Overall building systems that contribute to the building’s energy savings
- Comparison of the building’s geothermal system to the standard mechanical systems
- View the commissioning process to ensure the building operates at the optimal designed level.
- Hear the Owner’s perspective on why sustainable decisions are important for the operations of the building
