About the Workshop Minimize
You’ll learn how to leverage the role of business architecture to:
  •  Improve the business value of projects
  • Clarify visibility throughout the end-to-end decision-making process
  • Identify project stakeholders and define their real problem and desired outcomes
  • Frame requirements that add value using proven techniques and tools
  • Analyze and validate requirements in the business context
  • Present prioritization, decisions and direction to the business and IT community

Poor or missing business architecture processes and inadequate consideration of project requirements relative to strategic intentions have been identified as a lurking cause of project failure. Organizations attempt to deal with this problem by using different approaches in discovering requirements for project deliverables. However, organizations often miss the “big picture” and ultimately deliver sub-optimal, even damaging, project outcomes.

In this course you’ll learn how the Business Architect fits in the definition of organizational strategy and purpose, to define the real problem, assess the impact on the business, clarify and manage stakeholders’ expectations, and support delivery of enterprise value-added solutions using a collaborative cross-function approach. You’ll learn how to determine and present the most feasible solutions to decision-makers, and finally to assess and assimilate the impact of deployed projects within the business environment.
